Schools are now closed during the national lockdown – January 2021.
As well as providing work every day via Showbie, class teachers will also be offering live teaching and learning sessions each week, based on the age and needs of the children. We have put this home-school agreement in place to show our expectations of children at home taking part in these live sessions.
In line with the expectations of the DfE, we were asked to ensure that the children could transition between home and school learning seamlessly, in the event of a lockdown or self-isolation in relation to covid-19.
We will be using the Showbie as our online learning platform. It will be used to set and collect work, which teachers can review and mark as effectively as if the children will be in school.
Work will be organised by class and lessons. Children will be assigned the work that is appropriate to them which they can access using their unique log-in.
From June 1st, schools will be partially reopening for some year groups and therefore teachers and TAs will now be classroom-based. In order to provide home learning for other year groups and children not in school, we can announce the launch of our virtual school, Diamond Online, which can be accessed here: https://www.diamondonline.uk/home
