Humanities: History, Geography and RE

These curriculum areas are taught through our creative topics.
EYFS - Puffins: Change and Texture, Light and Dark, Ourselves, Minibeasts
Year 1: Our School and Local Area, Old and New toys, Wonderful Weather, Kings and Queens,Seaside Now and Then, 
Year 2: Our Wonderful World, The Great Fire of London, Barnaby Bear: Country Focus, using maps, Great Explorers, Homes
Year 3: Stone Age to Iron Age, The UK, The Vikings, Extreme Earth: Weather/Water Cycle
Year 4: The Tudors, Kenya, The Romans, Rainforests 
Year 5: The Victorians, Railways, Raging Rivers, World War II, Our Changing World
Year 6: Ancient Egypt, Mountains, Leisure and Entertainment, Recycling, Trade and Economy

Through this creative approach, children are able to explore the topics and incorporate many different areas of learning, such as English, Art, Computing and Music.

The aim of our Geography teaching is to inspire a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people.
The aims of our History teaching is to help pupils gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain's past and that of the wider world and the impact it has on our lives today.
